Hypnotherapy is a type of complementary trance type psychotherapy that uses hypnosis (not the silly stuff you see on TV), which is an altered state of consciousness. Hypnotherapy uses hypnosis, which is a light trance state to help treat or change habits. Both Hypnotherapy Advanced NLP are excellent tools for helping to bring quicker results.
What happens in a hypnotherapy session Hypnotherapy Advanced NLP
There are different types of hypnotherapy, and different ways of hypnotising someone.
First, you'll usually have a chat with your therapist to discuss what you hope to achieve and agree what methods your therapist will use.
After this, the hypnotherapist may:
guide you into a deeply relaxed state
use your agreed methods to help you towards your goals – for example, suggesting that you don't want to carry out a certain habit and suggesting more positive and desired behaviours
before guiding out of the trance at the end of your session
Although you're in a hypnosis trance, you are still fully in control and don't have to take on the therapist's suggestions if you don't want to. If necessary, you could also bring yourself out of the hypnotic state quite easily.
Hypnotherapy is a type of complementary and alternative treatment in which the mind is used to help with a variety of problems, such as breaking bad habits or coping with stress, releasing fears and so on. It is a talking therapy involving trance hypnosis which focuses a clients subconscious to help bring about positive changes to their thoughts, feelings and behaviour. Working together the hypnotherapist and client will decide on the desired changes to work on prior to the hypnosis session occurring.
Hypnotherapy is a form of therapy that uses the power of suggestion to encourage positive change. A hypnotherapist will use relaxation techniques to help you reach a state where the conscious part of your mind is relaxed and your subconscious part is more open to suggestion. We then use suggestion techniques (where we ‘talk’ to your subconscious) to help encourage the change you’re looking for. Most of our behaviour is governed by our sub conscious.
What is involved in a typical session?
Firstly you will have a consultation to relax you and discuss what you desired results are. The following typical session structure gives you an idea of what to expect:
A relaxing welcome chat where you can ask any other questions you have and get comfortable.
An Induction where I will lead you into a state of deep physical and mental relaxation. You will feel very relaxed but you will be able to hear everything I say to you and you will be able to respond as well.
Once you are deeply relaxed, I can then begin the 'change work' using the techniques and approaches discussed and agreed to help you towards your goals.
Once the 'change work' has been complete, I will begin the transition to bring you back to wakefulness, in which you are gradually brought out of your trance.
Then there is time for any questions you may have, and a summary of the session and progress made so far.
